I
timed myself so that I got up as he was getting out of his car, about to
walk up to my house and knock on the door. I didn't want to seem too excited.
I wanted this to be cool, I wanted to make this a good time. I was wearing
my clunky black knee high boots with crushed velvet spandex pants. I also
had on a mesh shirt with a black shirt over it, and a pseudo-Chinese print
button up shirt. For warmth I had on a vintage black tuxedo jacket. I had
decided on this outfit partly for practicality and partly to be a mix between
myself and his version of myself. As I opened the front door of my house,
he strode up the steps and smiled in that dangerous way that he always does.
He greeted me and he asked me if I had any post-it notes. I was puzzled
by this strange question, but I said yes and invited him inside. I was ready
to leave, but he had to have his post-it notes. I showed him through the
house to the sticky notes, which were near the back of the house by my parents'
phones. He was wearing his usual multicolored and patterned outfit consisting
of old black jeans which are ripped all around, his snakeskin print button
up shirt, and some other odd pattern combinations. The difference this time
was that he was wearing a ripped jacket made of trash bags. It was barely
held together by thick grey duct tape. His hair was done in his usual style:
dyed blue, green, and purple with about 15 plastic snakes tied in using
pipe cleaners. I had always admired his unique style of dress and thought. He reached for a pen and wrote something on two post-it notes. He shielded this from my view so I had no idea what it was he was writing. I grinned and asked him what he was doing. He said it was important and that I was being impatient- I'd know in a bit. So I let him go on and he took the post-its. We walked outside once again, and I locked the front door behind me. I was very glad that neither of my parents were home at the time. It would have caused more confusion. Neither of them had met him yet. I myself only knew him for about 2 months so far. |
